I regularly blog about sex toy give-aways and such, I’ve also recently hosted my own sex toy give-away for the first time – But Sex Toy Day is a little different to all of the free sex toy deals I’ve previously posted about as this  time the amazing people from My Pleasure are giving away 1,000 – yep One Thousand free sex toys on November 4th! As Part of  the Sex Toy Day celebrations they are also hosting a Blog Carnival – asking bloggers to write posts addressing the question “How have sex toys changed my life?” So Far Buzz On Vibes & Lizzy Kaelar have already published their posts and I guess this is  the start of my own – How Sex Toys Changed My Life Post… so…..

How have Sex Toys Changed My Life?

My first ever actual sex toy was a jelly like rabbit vibrator with a wired  remote control unit that was a gift from X for I think my 20th birthday. This was in the days before you could readily buy sex toys online – heck It was back when 56k modems were considered super fast! I loved the purple Jelly monster, I grew VERY attached to the clit stimulator, I seriously couldn’t get enough of it.  This meant that eventually I broke it. One of the wires between the base and the ticklers motor snapped off due to my very over zealous use. I very quickly learned how to use a souldering  iron (as I wrote about in Sex Toy Repair 101) After a few years the whole toy eventually died in the bottom of the cupboard, it was a gooey, lint covered, gross blob of jelly, with an incredibly rusted battery case filled with a set of eroded batteries spewing forth their corrosive goodness – EWW.

I had no choice but to dispose of my dear bunny. I did replace it a few  years later with another rabbit vibe which i bought online1, but it wasn’t something that I used regularly. I barely ever used it alone as the tickler was no where as strong as my original one that had it’s own separate motor, it was mainly something I used with X – having internal stimulation whilst receiving head always sends me over the edge, but I digress.

Fast forward to this year and  my purchase of the We Vibe 2 from AdultToysCorner.com. This one purchase started off a whole shift in the way I saw both sex and sex toys. I went from getting off occasionally to getting off constantly whenever I slept with X and used  We Vibe 2. I swear that thing became my orgasm insurance,  it also started to open doors for me to further explore my sexuality. Not long after ordering my we vibe I started this blog and I haven’t looked back since.

My collection has grown somewhat in the past 6 months and I hope it will continue to do so, as with each new toy I get to explore a different part of my sexuality. I’m discovering many new ways of creating sexual pleasure for myself as well as reinvigorating my partnered sex life too. It’s funny to look back at how much my mindset  has changed since I bought that little piece of purple silicone, it is by far the best purchase I’ve ever made.

I’m now looking towards the future and building up my self esteem and self worth so that I can move on to bigger and better things. Some may question just how sex toys could make such a deep impression on my life and I don’t know if I could answer clearly… I just know that they have changed my life, and they’ve changed it for the better.

So it’s time to pack my bags and gear up for the road trip that I’ve spent months dreaming of and possibly even fantasising about. Off to Brisbane to see Metallica!!!!

And if Metallica aren’t enough to be excited about I’m going with -B!

Foe those who may not know -B is my former Friend With Benefits who went & got himself a girlfriend back in May and went from FWB to just -B, as in no more benefits.

I spent a weekend holed up in a hotel a few weekends ago whilst he waited for the now very EX girlfriend to move out of their place. I had an absolute ball, played lots of games and got up to lots of mischief, but it was all G rated with his offspring who were present for the first two nights. It’s very hard to share a bed with a guy whom most of your sexual fantasies revolve around and keep your hands to yourself  whilst trying to act like a lady.

The third night we were childless & back at his place, still it all stayed far too G rated. Major Bummer. See after spending such a long time – around 15 years, with the one sexual partner it’s really, really hard for me to have sexual confidence with someone else. This lack of confidence is so much so that I’m too scared to touch him, too scared to bring up the subject of sex full stop.

The whole time he was with the Ex there were many XXX Rated texts and msn conversations, even phone sex and a planned ‘one last night’ that we both kind of pulled out of due to guilty feelings. However since they split paths about a month ago it has all been very cordial and clean…and Boring! The only mention of anything sexual was during a chat shortly after I arrived back home, he mentioned that he forgot to ask me to bring him some porn, him now being single and all. To which I responded ‘You waited until I got home to decide you’re horny?’  His reply was something about us being resposible or something, it made sense at the time, but still – I just want to FUCK!! I got too see him naked for shits sake, slept right beside him…But no sex…It’s almost painful!

I haven’t brought the subject up since, I’m terribly shy and to directly bring up the subject of ‘us’ having sex scares the bejeezus out of me. I guess mainly because I’m scared of rejection, but also because I’d never want to put him in a position where he felt uncomfortable, or obligated to screw my fat ass! With X – even today all I’d have to say is ‘You want a bit?’ and if I got a yes we’d fuck. It would be terribly simple to just ask -B ‘Do you want some benefits?’ , but the same rejection/ obligation/ uncomfortable situation could occur no matter how I go about bringing up the subject.

There’s been a time or two when if maybe I’d acted differently, said something else  or did something a little different things could’ve segued into something sexual, but alas it never happened.  So I still have a little hope, but it’s very small.Part of me thinks that maybe he too is feeling shy and isn’t sure where he stands in relation to restarting a sexual relationship, but I’m pretty sure he’d know I’d be up for it after all the things that we’ve said in the past.

I know I should just grow the fuck up and act like a 30 year old rather than a 13yr old, but I can’t see me having that kind of courage. Plus his spawn will be around the entire time and even months ago we’ve never had sex whilst there was a kid under the same roof. So between my shyness & immaturity as well as his offspring being present in the house I can’t see anything sexual happening over the whole week I’ll be with him :(

Oh well – at least I get to see Metallica!!

Where I’m at

A lot goes on, But nothing happens!

I haven’t been around much lately, I wish I could say it’s because I’m off doing incredibly exciting things, but it just aint true. A whole bunch of stuff has happened but not much has changed.

I’m still trying to sort out my financial problems & the whole issue with centerlink1, but I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who’ve been buying sex toys via my site, especially at AdultToysCorner.com.au those commissions are keeping me from filing bankruptcy :P

X has been being quite a decent human being lately, He’s changed jobs 3 or 4 times lately, Keeping me very busy helping him ‘christen’ each new truck :P The one he has now is pretty god damn swish, It’s f’ing huge, has a swing out set of steps instead of a god damn ladder and it’s even an auto – no need to change gears, plus lots of other fancy truck stuff. But most importantly a huge, roomy, comfy bed for me.

Actually just waiting on him to get back with our boy whom he took for a run up to Brisbane before the school holidays ended.

My girls, my 2 bestest friends, a beautiful lesbian couple whom I adore in many, many ways have moved :( They left last week to move up to Brisbane. I miss them deeply, but know that they needed to move and start afresh if they were going to be happy.  I hope to get to go see them week after next when I’m in Brisbane. – this post is starting to have a lot to do with Brisbane.

And -B, my dear dear -B *shaking my head*, not sure what to say about him. He broke up with the girlfriend, yay for me, but things have been so G rated since then. For how ever many months that they were together the texts and chats were steaming hot & incredibly kinky… now not so.

I almost feel like his wife. In the sense that we chat and emotionally are close, when I’m up there I sleep next to him, I take care of his offspring and keep him awake with my snoring, but no fucking!! Seriously not sure where the fuck I stand with that one. I’m happy to just be the friend, Im happy to be the booty call, but I just want to know what he wants me to be. Asking him outright what he wants would be far too easy! lol.

Next week we are going to Brisbane. I saw him quickly two weeks ago and he shocked the crap out of me by asking if I wanted to stay with him at his parents place when we are up there. See what I mean by the wife BS? Maybe FWB got changed to Friends Who Baby sit whilst i wasn’t paying attention. Not that I mind being the baby sitter, his spawn rock & I possibly love them a little too much, but this baby sitter would like to fuck their father.  I have such a ball running around and playing with them, just wish he wanted to play with me.

I feel all emotionally needy, and pathetic & plain old stupid. Insecure, shy, embarrassed and a whole bunch of other things because I don’t know if  he wants those kinds of benefits. I’m far too insecure to ask him, or even touch him for fear of rejection, or awkwardness, or making him feel like he has to fuck me. I don’t know it all feels like a fucking mine filed and I don’t want to blow myself up.

I had honestly just gotten him out of my system. Every night for 9 months+ I’d gone to sleep every single night imagining fucking him, then about 6 weeks ago that all went away and I was all ready to move on and leave those sexual desires in the past. Then he goes and gets all single, and asks me to come help him and I’m right back where I fucking started.

I will spend a few nights in his bed over the weekend before we get to Brisbane, and at least 1 night (on which there won’t be kids in the house) on the way back, If that results in nothing – I’m moving on. I do have hopes for a nice hard after concert fuck, but not realistic ones.

Will let you know how it all goes, Will let you know whats up when I work out where the bloody hell I am!

I’m a Sexpert

I’m now Officially a California Exotics Sexpert!

I am now officially a sexpert thanks to california exotics

So what is a Sexpert?

According to UrbanDictionary.com a Sexpert is;

Someone who is an expert at sex and sexual topics.

or

One who specialises in the art of sex

But really becoming a California Exotics Sexpert is pretty darn cool. It means that now I’ll be sent a new California Exotics (or Cal Exotics – so much faster to type!) product to review for my wonderful readers each month. Woo Hoo!

Becoming a Cal Exotics Sexpert™

I had seen the above Sexpert image on other sex toy reviewer’s blogs and being the curious being that I am I of course had to  click on it to discover just what this Sexpert business was all about.

It turns out that they have been looking for 100 special people such as myself (read: people who blog about sex) to write reviews on their products. 100 people to whom they shall send a new product to each month (it could even be an unreleased product that you get to test drive before it hits the marketplace) in order to have these items reviewed. And these 100 marvellous people shall become known as Cal Exotics Sexperts™ and get to display the above image on their blog or website to prove to the world that they are in fact experts in the field of all things sexual!

So of course I wanted to be one, wouldn’t you? I then clicked on the link to fill out their online application form and sent it off to them.

It took a few weeks (or at least that’s about how long it felt like) and I had almost forgotten I had applied to become one when I got an email telling me I was now a Sexpert, followed by one telling me my first product was on its way to me for review. YAY!

My First Product

This morning my first product arrived. I was Hellishly excited about a new sex toy, even before I opened the package, and was almost blown away once I did open it up and discover my first assignment.

The ‘Couture Collection Bliss remote control Egg‘ – check out the picture below, it’s pretty damn cool. A rechargeable vibrating egg, wow! And from what I can tell it hasn’t as yet been released onto the market, but when it does it will have a recommended price of $122.99 – WoW do I feel special yet again!

So be sure to keep your eyes open for its up coming review. I can’t wait to try it out, hopefully it will perform far better than the last Remote Control Egg I reviewed.

Final Note

For all my fellow Aussie Sex Blogging co-horts unlike most companies that don’t work with reviewers that don’t live in the US, let alone all the way on the other side of the globe like us, California Exotics seem to love us and are more than willing to send products down under for their approved Sexperts to review.
