The Power Pleasure Harness with Turbo Dong

This month I was slightly confused as to what to do when I received my latest product from Cal Exotics as I’ve really got no use for a harness. I’ve got no girlfriends to play with any more and ‘HELLO’ plus sized! No way would any harness fit my fat ass! X had mentioned wishing he could use a strap on to double penetrate me as well as possibly being interested in pegging – but not sure if that’s going to happen. Whilst I’m all up for DP, pegging kinda scares me. In the sense that I don’t want to hurt someone. Maybe it wouldn’t be an issue, but for pegging N00B such as myself it is a concern. Not being able to feel what I am doing to them as well as their body’s reaction concerns me greatly. But after discussing the matter with @Mistress_kay sex toy reviewer extraordinaire I have come to realise that although I may not wish to penetrate somebody with this toy I sure as heck can still tell you all about it. So here goes for my first harness Review!

Color: All black with small silver snaps where the vibrating dong attaches to the harness

Vibrating Dildo Size: 7″(18cm) long with a maximum girth of 5.25″(13cm)

Power Source: 3xAAA batteries, but works fine without vibrations

Vibration Settings: 3

Lubrication Compatibility: Water Based Recommended

Harness Measurements: Although the Packaging says that it fits up to a 40″(120cm) waist the actual maximum waist measurement is 64″ (163cm), with a maximum thigh strap measurement of 30″(76cm). I am easily a size 24/26 & this harness easily fits my Plus Size Shape which certainly impresses me. I had always thought my size would exclude me from being able to ever use a harness, it’s nice to discover I was wrong. For those of you on the opposite end of the size spectrum you can rest assured that all of the straps can be tightened to fit even the smallest of frames. This will obviously cause there to be long, excessive strands of the Nylon webbing to be dangling about, possibly getting in your way. However you could always trim them shorter, it just depends on whether or not you will be sharing the toy with a partner who needs the longer straps to fit their size.

Harness Compatibility: It is designed to be used with the supplied Vibrating Dildo with its base and press studs which attach it to the harness. BUT I am a total NOOB when it comes to harnesses and there may be other dildos with compatible bases that can snap onto this harness. The Ring shaped area of the harness is 2.25″ wide, but without a metal O ring to hold it in place I doubt it could be used successfully with other dildos.

Basic Run Down

The Power Pleasure Harness with Turbo Dong is, in the simplest of terms an adjustable nylon harness with a snap on, vibrating Dong.

The Harness

The Harness is made from 1″ wide Nylon webbing and consists of a waist strap, 2 thigh straps and a front plush, fleece like fabric panel which has 4 silver snaps and a 2.25″ wide hole where the ‘Turbo Dong’ attaches.

Each of the three Nylon straps are easily adjusted with the plastic slide style clips to fit a wide range of body sizes. The ends of each of the straps have a very rough finish where the Nylon has been melted to prevent fraying. These ends have an itchy, scratchy feel and can easily irritate the skin.

The front panel is the complete opposite. Made from a double layer of fleece fabric it is very soft against the skin and has a padded feel to it. Its edges are bound with a soft bias binding and all of the edges have a row of re-enforcing stitching, as does the circular hole in its center. The four silver snaps which are used for attaching the Dong penetrate through all of the layers of fabric.

All of the stitching that holds this harness together is very sturdy and overall it is well made with a high level of craftsmanship. There is no way this harness is going to come un-done in a hurry.

As for the way it sits, it put a lot of strain on my hips, digging into my flesh whenever there was any resistance against the dong. The Base plate and dong sat at a very natural level and it would be easy to simulate PIV sex, or partake in pegging using this set. However it is the thin nylon straps that dig into your fleshier regions which make it difficult to use for extended periods of time.

The ‘Turbo Dong’

The penetrative portion of this toy composes of two pieces; 1)a Flat based plate which attaches to the harness and features the on/off button for the vibrating options as well as the ‘dock’ that the dong screws into. And 2) The vibrating ‘Turbo Dong’.

The base plate has a thin layer of soft padding underneath it, covering the surface that rubs against your skin. This covering stops the base from rubbing to hard against your pubic bone during use, whilst its size evenly disperses any strains experienced during use well across its surface. This helps to prevent the corners from digging into you whilst you are using the toy with a partner.

The Dong itself isn’t something I’m overly impressed by. For one it is made from PVC, whilst the packaging says it is Phthalate free PVC it doesn’t do much to make me feel comfortable using a PVC toy internally. Its porous nature also tends to bother me – even with the most stringent hygienic care bacteria and bugs can still take up residence. It also prevents it from being a toy that can be used for sharing between partners and if you wish to use it for both anal and vaginal penetration condoms are always a must.

It is a slightly odd shape, the shaft is slightly cone shaped, the wider base tapers in evenly just like an upside down ice cream cone, but around an inch or so from the tip it balloons out into a spherical shaped head that does nothing for me visually or sexually. I often enjoy toys with pronounced heads, but the shape of this one both looks and feels a little odd.

The Turbo Dong also operates as a 3 speed vibrator. 3 AAA sized batteries are slid into the body of the dong before it is screwed back onto the base plate. It was here that I experienced a little trouble. It had to be screwed to just the right point in order for the contacts to meet. Tighten it too far and it wouldn’t vibrate, leave it too loose and again you have the same issue. There is a single control button located on the base plate. Pressing this button will cycle through the 3 different vibration strengths before switching it back off again. The vibrations were no where close to as strong as I would expect as they are easily absorbed by the dense shaft rather than travelling through it. I would compare its over all strength to a small bullet, even though I do have bullets that are far stronger than the Turbo Dong. The sound levels however are acceptable, it can be heard over a tv but you cannot hear it through a bedroom door.

Care and Cleaning

Both the Harness and the Dong((I hate this word but it is what they call it)) are both fully waterproof, that is as long as the dong is fully attached and locked in it can safely be used in water. Be it the shower, the bath, or the ocean it can be used wherever you want. Although PVC doesn’t come to mind when I think of body safe materials in this case it is Phthalate free, But it is porous! This basically means that unless you cover it in a condom the dong is not a toy for sharing. Also whilst it is shaped in a way that is safe for anal it can not be sterilised afterwards. So if you wish to a) share the dong, or b)use it for anal penetration It MUST be covered in a condom – and if you wish to do both anal and vaginal penetration use separate condoms for each and NEVER go from ass to pussy.

Both components can be washed in warm water and disinfecting soap, just ensure that the dong and its base are attached securely to prevent water from damaging the electrical components. Also on the care side of things the packaging recommends that you only use water based lubes with the dong so as to not damage the integrity of the surface.

Conclusion

Whilst this is a toy that I personally have little use for I think it could make for a great introduction to harnesses and strap on style sex. There are certainly much better quality harnesses available as well as ones that are compatible with almost any dildo, but for its low price and its purpose I think It’s pretty darn good. It certainly looses points for not being made out of a more body friendly material (the dong), yet gains some for its ability to fit almost everyone of any size. As their are two separate components I’ve decided to rate them individually as well as rating them as an all in one product.

Basic Harness 4/5 – mainly due to its price & plus sized abilities (& Im sure my harness naivety).

The Dong gets just 2/5 , bad material, odd shape, it could be far far better even though it is Phthalate free. Also the strength of the vibrations left much to be desired.

So I guess together I’m going to give them an overall rating of just 2 & a half stars.

How to Improve your site’s Alexa Ranking

Why care about your site’s Alexa Ranking?

There is little point in having a website or blog if no one is viewing it, and if you are reviewing sex toys or for that matter any product your website’s success will affect how willing companies are to work with you. There are many ways that a site’s success can be measured: Visitor Stats, Incoming Links, Keyword Ranking, Page Rank and as I’ll be discussing today – Alexa Ranking. Some sex toy retailers as well as adult product manufacturers will only work with reviewers who have sites that have reached a particular ranking.

There is a lot of conjecture about just how important or effective Alexa rankings are in determining the overall success of a website, mainly because of the way they gather their data. But never the less – if it’s important to advertiser’s and sponsors then it’s important to those of us who need them.

What Does Your Alexa Ranking Mean?

The Alexa Rating for a website is a numerical value that represents the popularity of your website based on traffic. Unlike many other rankings where a higher number is desired (such as Google Page Rank) with an Alexa ranking the lower the number the better. Also unlike some other metrics used to measure the success of a website that can take months to register the existence of a new blog. every site – no matter how new, no matter how small, has an Alexa Ranking. You don’t need to do anything or sign up anywhere in order to have an Alexa Ranking, your website simply needs to exist.

The number of your Alexa Ranking means that you are the xth most popular site on the net according to the amount of traffic visiting your site. Google of course is #1, the site that gets the most traffic on the web. It is closely followed by facebook at #2 and you tube at #3. As I’m writing this Screaming-Violet.com has an Alexa ranking of #861,297 (my current ranking is visible in my sidebar), that means that out of the millions of sites out there only 861, 296 are receiving more traffic than me. Just like your website traffic fluctuates so does your Alexa Ranking.

To Directly quote Alexa:

Alexa computes traffic rankings by analyzing the Web usage of millions of Alexa Toolbar users and data obtained from other, diverse traffic data sources. The information is sorted, sifted, anonymized, counted, and computed, until, finally, we get the traffic rankings shown in the Alexa service. The process is relatively complex, but if you have a need to know, please read on.

How Do You Find Out Your Alexa Ranking?

You do not need to sign up for anything or pay any money in order to find out your site’s Alexa Ranking is. To find out your Alexa Ranking visit Alexa.com and type your URL (www.yoursite.com) into the search box and hit enter. . The results page will give you your Alexa Traffic rank – your position amongst all websites globally, followed by your Traffic Rank in US – your position regarding US traffic and finally the number of Sites linking in – unlike the other two numbers the sites linking in data isn’t updated daily. It’s only updated 4 times a year so it can take quite some time before you will see any change in this number.

Underneath this information there are a row of 5 stars that may or may not be filled in. This is where reviews of your site are reflected, but we will touch on those a bit later.

Alexa also has more information regarding your site, its visitors, keyword analysis and other forms of data which you can view by hitting the ‘Get Details‘ button, but for this post Let’s just stick with your overall global ranking and what we can do to improve it.

Claiming Your Site

The very first step you should take in order to improve the Alexa ranking of your sex blog… or any site for that matter is to ‘Claim Your Website‘ – Claiming your site enables you to not only keep its information up to date but it also allows you to respond to reviews that others write about your site. You can either register with Alexa or just use facebook connect to login to Alexa.com but either way there is no cost.

After you have registered and completed the process to officially claim your site it’s now time for you to ‘Edit Your Sites Listing‘ It is here that you can add a description to your site that will be publicly visible on Alexa.com when anyone visits there to check out your Alexa ranking or to write a review for your site. After you have submitted your information it can take up to two working days for these changes to be visible.

As a sex blogger it is understandable that you may not wish to have your legal name linked to your blog, or your actual street address. I don’t even want the town I live in to be linked to my site – If this is the case for you as well you can leave sections such as your address blank and use your online persona for your name. As long as you include your valid email address so that Alexa can contact you the other personal details don’t really matter.

Improving Your Alexa Ranking

Now that Alexa knows who you are and you have added all of your information to their listing for your site you’re ready to start taking steps to improve your Alexa Ranking. As we already know your ranking is determined not directly by the amount of traffic your website is getting, but rather the amount of traffic Alexa knows is visiting your website.

Getting Alexa to recognise more of your Traffic

Step 1: Download and Install the Alexa Toolbar

The most Important step you can take to help improve your ranking is to Download and install the Alexa Toolbar for Firefox, this way your visits to your site are recognised by Alexa and is classed as Traffic visiting your site. If you aren’t using firefox there are also add on’s and toolbars available for chrome and internet explorer that you can access from the Alexa Toolbar page, if you are using another browser such as Safari or Opera you may be able to find a similar toolbar or browser add on by visiting the website of your browsers creators ie:apple.com for safari users.

By Installing and using the toolbar you are anonymously sharing your net surfing habits with Alexa.com, this means that every page you view with the toolbar installed will be registered as traffic by Alexa. When you install the toolbar it asks a couple of questions about your age group, your sex etc. None of the information shared via the toolbar is identifiable. All data collected by Alexa is 100% anonymous.

Step 2: Set your website as your home page

I understand that not all sex related blogs are safe to be used as your browsers homepage, nor may you be comfortable with sharing your adult content blog with your friends and co-workers… However the most prolific tip for improving your Alexa ranking that I’ve come across is to get as many friends and family using the Alexa toolbar with your website set as their homepage. Again it is about getting more traffic to your site in a way that is registered by Alexa.

Luckily for us sex bloggers who may not wish to share our sites with those we know in real life, we are part of a blogging community in which we all regularly visit one another’s websites . So if you aren’t able to set your website as your homepage you can still visit your own website once a day and you can do other things to encourage others to install the toolbar and simply visit your website.

Step 3: Install an Alexa Widget on your Website

Although the majority of information that Alexa collects comes from the toolbar there are also a few other ways in which they collect data, giving us the opportunity to again get more of our traffic recognised by Alexa. You can quickly and easily create an Alexa Widget and then install it on your website, once installed this will both display your up to date Alexa Ranking as well as send information back to Alexa each time your website is loaded.

On the Widgets page, which is part of the “Site Owners tools‘ section of Alexa.com you are given the option between two different types of widget, one which shows your sites Alexa Stats – both your global traffic ranking as well as the number of incoming link or the other which displays only your Alexa traffic ranking. Each of these widgets has three different graphic display options. If like me, Alexa is yet to recognise any of your inbound links you may wish to choose the second, traffic ranking only option.

To create your widget simply visit the Widgets page and enter your website’s URL into the box associated with the widget you wish to install and hit enter. The next page will give you the html code for each of the different graphic options. Choose the one you wish to install, highlight all of the code and copy it. Now all you need to add this code to your website.

The best place to display it is in your sidebar or footer as these areas get loaded no matter which page or post on your blog is being viewed. You can use the ‘plain text widget’ in your WordPress or blogger dashboard to directly paste the html code that you have copied. Be sure to save it and then check that the Alexa Widget is displaying properly.

If you have a not so great Alexa ranking you may not wish to share it with your site visitors and prospective advertisers. If this is the case you may want to leave adding the Alexa Ranking widget to your site until you have broken into the first 2 million, or whatever ranking you are proud to have. Check out the Alexa Ranking of other sex bloggers and sex toy reviewers you look up to and use those stats to decide when to add the widget. Personally I feel anything that breaks the 2 million mark is doing well, cracking the top 1million is doing great, and the top 500,ooo Amazing!!

Step 4: Get your Website Reviewed

For someone who regularly reviews sex toys and other adult products it really hadn’t occurred to me to get others to review my own website, but having your site reviewed on Alexa.com will help to improve your Alexa Ranking. In order to help you to encourage more of your visitors to review your site there is also an Alexa Review Widget that you can install on your website. Again this is accessible via the ‘Site Owners tools‘ section of Alexa.com

Just like the previous widget you will be given a piece of html code to copy and paste into position where you would like the widget to appear. Unlike the traffic stats widget there are many more options for the review widget, including a number of different colors that should fit in with the scheme of your website.

You could even take the initiative and write reviews of other sex blogs, or in fact any blogs that are part of your individual niche. After reviewing someone’s site send them a message to tell them you have done so and ask that they return the favour. I for one will certainly return the favour and review the site of anyone who reviews mine.

Step 5: Improve your website Overall

Whilst the previous steps have been pretty direct and their impact on your ranking is easily understood there are many other things that you can do to improve your website that will have a positive effect on your Alexa Ranking. Quite simple things that you should already be doing like:

Publishing posts regularly – it is the months when I post 2 or 3 times a week that I see the greatest improvement in all of my website stats.
Mix your efforts for improving your alexa ranking along with SEO techniques and link building strategies as well – not only will these things help to improve your Alexa rankings but they will also help to boost your sites visibility and overall success.
Keep an eye on your website’s stats, not just your Alexa ranking but also your in-bound traffic, the sources of your traffic, your google page rank and more. If you are using WordPress one great Plug in you can use is WP Stats DashBoard -I use this and absolutely love it. It keeps track of numerous statistics related to your blog as well as how they have changed over the previous month
If you aren’t using WordPress search google for a browser add on or plug in such as the ‘Search Status‘ Add on for FireFox that will show you various stats related to your blog – page rank & inbound links etc
Keep track of your Alexa Ranking – I began by just writing down my ranking every few days in a book, but have since moved on to a spreadsheet. Doing so will both show you how far you have come as well as to help you pin point any actions you may have taken, such as posting more often, that have had a positive effect on your ranking.

The Alexa Re-Direct WordPress PlugIn – Why you shouldn’t use it

There is a plug in available for WordPress that is rumoured to help improve your Alexa Ranking by adjusting links within your site to Alexa re direct links using JavaScript. Basically the plug in will work between WordPress and your browser to edit any links that are within your own domain to links that are re directed through alexa.

For example http://www.yourblog.com/page/2 would be altered to http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?http://www.yourblog.com/page/2 - Thus ensuring that Alexa is made aware of this traffic.

The plug in is designed to use JavaScript to change the links so that the Google bots crawling your site are still able to crawl your site as usual. This Practice is commonly known as ‘Link Cloaking‘ it is classed as unethical linking practises to alter links in such a way and is very similar to the problem raised with Eden Fantasys earlier in the year. I won’t be using any such plug in, not now, not ever.

I have only mentioned it here as nearly every site offering tips to improve your Alexa Ranking includes tips to use this plug in – However they fail to point out that it is against ethical linkage practises and could in fact have a negative impact on your site’s success. So no matter how many times you read in other places that this plug in is helpful….. Ignore it!

In Conclusion

The number one way to Improve your ranking is to install the toolbar and visit your site regularly, although some of the other tips here may or may not have a direct impact upon the way Alexa gathers data about the traffic flow of your site, anything you do that increases the visibility of your site on the web and draws in more traffic will have a knock on effect and will eventually be reflected in your Alexa Ranking. I will be posting an update over the next month or so to show just how my ranking has improved after following these steps so that I can directly show you just how much they have impacted my ranking. I will also be working on a ‘blog hop’ style list of links to related blogs owned by people who are using the Alexa toolbar. That way we can share the wealth amongst our selves

A lot goes on…

It’s been a while since I’ve done just a general blog post about what’s going on in my life and that kind of thing so I figured I may as well write one now. but as I said ‘A lot goes on but nothing happens’((a line from ‘not much happens’ by ben lee – but the line was something originally said by Evan Dando from the lemmonheads))

My sex life

Just like my blog my sex life mainly consists of me and sex toys! lots of sex toys! To be honest I’ve now collected more than I can count I just don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

X has been really nice lately,been a while since I slept with him, but he’s been getting kinder and kinder every weekend when he does come home.

As for -B, it’s starting to feel old. Don’t get me wrong though if he asked me to I’d probably bend over backwards in order to do so, but each day that passes I think of him a little less. I’m finally getting my head and my heart back to where it was in early September, back to when I’d finally accepted he was with his girlfriend and our sexual relationship was over.Nearly back to where I was when they broke up and I raised my hopes ridiculously high.

Since then I’ve seen him twice, once for 3 night over a weekend when I went to babysit his son, and then another week or so when we went to Brisbane to see Metallica. 10 or so nights I slept beside him in bed but we never touched. I even shared a bed with him at his rather old fashioned parents house((Does that not seem weird to anyone else??) Since then there have been a few days of dirty texts, cyber sex, maybe even phone sex, but it kinda feels like time for me to move on.

Maybe If I re-invested emotionally in my relationship with X things would improve there??

I’m busy behind the scenes trying to sort out the mess I’ve made with my blog. When the Adult sex toy store known as TheAdultToyShoppe.com asked me to review some sex toys for them my first choice was something from the ‘I Rub My Duckie‘ line of novelty vibrators. I have long wanted one of these cute bath time pals and the limited edition bondage version was just too adorable to pass up.

This Duck shaped massager come vibrator is completely waterproof and with his vibrating body he makes for a great bath time pal. He arrives held tight within a thick plastic clamshell, along with the 2 x AA batteries he requires and a set of mini handcuffs that I adore. ❤They are the perfect, kinky addition to my key ring. I must say I do LOVE when a sex toy manufacturer includes the batteries to power the toy. There’s nothing worse than wanting to try out a brand new toy but being unable to as you can’t find a set of fresh batteries – it’s frustrating to say the least! So a big thank-you to Big Tease Toys for adding this small but much appreciated touch to this toy. Having the batteries included really rocks but you will still have to stay patient. Well at least until you find a Philips head screw driver to unscrew his base so that you can insert his batteries. This little guy is made from rubber, not exactly the best material for a sex toy, but it is FREE of Phthalates, Latex, Cadmium & Lead((according to the big tease toys website)). It’s a porous material that can’t be sterilised so germs and things can start to grow – Have you ever seen the gunk that grows on bathtub toys over a period of time, not nice! My guy is strictly for muscle relaxation purposes only and even though I’ve used him in the tub so far no gunk has grown. Quite possibly because I give him a really good dry off after washing him with disinfecting soap. If you are going to use this as a sex toy please keep in mind that it is porous and shouldn’t be shared. This means keeping him well away from kids who will want to play with him & chew on him etc… Not a pretty picture!

When it comes to kinky fashion this little 5″x5″ (do u get the buffy reference? heh) duck is truly decked out. He has a cherry colored ball gag in his mouth, a stunning silver spiked collar and a lace up, vinyl look studded jacket. His clothing is part of his form so you don’t have to worry about cleaning in creases or possibly loosing parts of his kinky costume. His overall surface is for the most part smooth with the exceptions being his spikey collar along with the studs and lace-up front of his jacket. His very unique shape as well as the mixed textures of the surface adds a lot of variety to his otherwise 1 note show.

His downfall is that he only has one speed of vibrations which you turn on & off by pressing on the upper portion of his back. They are quite strong – probably about a medium on a 3 speed bullet, and they travel well throughout his entire body. The packaging recommends trying out the different feelings created by various areas of his body such as his head, his beak or tail etc. The vibrations travel well throughout his body but are more pin point on spots like his beak and tail. When it comes to the style of the vibrations they are a bit buzzy and can start to numb your hand, but their buzziness is lessened as is their strength when pressed hard against the body.

When it comes to sound he is very very quiet. My son was mucking around with him (I’ve delegated him as a sore muscles style massager within our house not a sex toy!) , when he switched him on and sat him on the lounge I could feel the vibrations running through the lounge but couldn’t hear him what so ever, even though he was only a metre or two away. If you place him on a flat surface he will vibrate himself across the surface and even do little 360 spins. You would think from this that perhaps he would propel himself from one end of the bath to another, but sadly when left alone in the bath he just flips over and creates little ripples in the water.

All in all I think he’s one super cool, kinky little duck that can tease you and please you sexually or relax and massage your saw muscles and joints. His shape actually makes him perfect as an all over massager as his base fits well in the palm of your hand and his head works well on the harder to reach spots. I feel he is well deserved to earn a 3 out of 5 stars from me.

Sex Toy Review – Blue Venus

Blue Venus Waterproof Vibrator from Good Vibrations

The Blue Venus Waterproof Vibrator is a sex toy with a very uniquely shaped head designed for clitoral stimulation. One side is moulded to cup the clitoris – providing slightly more diffuse, not so direct vibrations and the other very pointed tip for intense, direct stimulation. But it’s uses don’t stop there, despite the pointy shape of the tip it can also be used as an internal vibrator. The wavy, somewhat curvaceous shaft provides wonderful stimulation and allows the vibrations to reach deep within.

It is made out of 100% Body safe, Phthalate free, Hypo-allergenic, Latex Free ABS Plastic, in the loveliest shade of blue. I know everyone’s always singing the praises of Silicone, but ABS Plastic is by far my favourite material for sex toys. It is non-porous, and super easy to care for, being compatible with both water based and Silicone based lubes. But more important than that it has the nicest, silkiest, most velvety finish. The kind of texture that lures you in and you don’t want to stop stroking it. It feels that Amazing!

I was expecting this tiny little toy that would fit into the palm of my hand, so it’s size was a bit of a surprise. Overall it is 7.5″ tall, 6.5″ of shaft with a 1″ high twist off base. At it’s widest points, along the curves and around the head it has a circumference of 4″.

It arrives in a small cardboard box, not much bigger than the toy(9″x2″x2″). It features an image of the toy on the front & back, along with information regarding the toy. It isn’t the most discrete packaging I’ve seen but unless you have to keep your toys well hidden it could be re-used as storage.

It requires 2AA sized batteries to power it. These are easily inserted into the toy by taking off the cap at the base of the toy. Rather than screwing on and off with a screw like thread this cap has a bayonet style closing mechanism, similar to the way you slot a light globe into its socket.

As the Blue Venus Waterproof Vibrator is kinda obviously waterproof, just inside the cap, where the base & body meet there is a clear rubber O ring which prevents water from getting into the electrical parts of this toy. A job it does very well by the way, making it the perfect bath time friend.

The vibrations are controlled via a simple to use dial which is located at the very bottom of the base cap. Whilst there is only one continuous pattern for vibrations you can ramp them up from slow and shallow to strong and intense. Due to the way the dial base works there is no way to say how many levels it has. I would liken it’s vibratory strength to that of a strong bullet. Soft enough on low to just get you warmed up whilst strong enough on high to get you off. I did however find that on the higher settings it became quite buzzy. Providing surface stimulation that didn’t really penetrate very deeply, and that after a while started to numb my hand.

Whilst I love the concept of the cupping side of this toy it really didn’t do that much for me during use. I found myself more drawn to the rear side of the head. I think I’m in love with this little devil’s horn. The tip provided very pin pointed vibrations whilst the curved shape of the head added stimulation to the rest of the area.

As for internal use, well I just had to try it. For some reason whenever my clit is the center of attention I start to feel what I can only describe as a hunger or yearning for something to be inside of me. Whilst the pointed tip may look like it would poke & prod you inside, possibly causing pain, I found the opposite to be true. Due to its relatively slender shaft I was able to hone the tip in on my G-spot, waving it back and forth across that area. I was kind of surprised that my body reacted so positively as this tip is far smaller than toys with a head designed to hit the G-spot. I’m not going to complain though as it certainly worked for me, but possibly only because my G-spot is very low & shallow, making it easy to find and hit with most toys.

When it comes to power I have found it to be great with batteries,after 4 or 5 uses the original pair of batteries are still going strong. If you like to indulge in longer sessions I should let you know, this baby really heats up! After 15-20 minutes it was starting to get incredibly hot in the top half of the toy where the motor is housed. But I’m glad to say that this is the only drawback I have found with this sex toy, apart from that It is perfect in every way!

Cleaning it is also very simple and easy. Warm water & some disinfecting soap will do the job, as will any of your favourite toy cleaners or wipes. You can dry it using a towel (another bonus or plastic over Silicone – it doesn’t attract lint, hair & dust) before you store it. Please remember to remove the batteries before storage to prolong the life of both the batteries and your toy. I’ve ruined numerous toys by leaving batteries in that eventually leaked, destroying the toy.

As far as clitoral vibrators go I’ve also got a Layaspot, The BeBe and my favourite 6″ Bullet breeze to compare the Blue Venus to… and I feel kind of sorry to say this,but, the Blue Venus blows them all away in terms of direct power right to the point where I want it. I should probably also mention it’s only $20!!

I’d love to give it 5 out of 5, but the getting so hot so fast is an issue for longer sessions of play, but it certainly deserves a good strong 4 out of 5.

My Christmas Sex Toy Wish

An Australian Violet for this Aussie Violet

I found my own personal holy grail of sex toys – Violet by Gaoldfrau Australia – Just look at her beauty…

I was pretty damn excited when I discovered the Australian designed BeBe and was over the moon when the wonderful women who created it sent me one to review. I really enjoy the BeBe but it’s not 100% Australian.
