Wanton Wednesday

I’m Back!!!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you may have heard me rambling on about how excited I’ve been to get a new camera courtesy of my amazing sex toy reviewing Friend, Mistress Kay. Just last week it finally arrived on my doorstep, I was so excited that I’d be able to participate in Wanton Wednesday once again. Then I saw this tweet…

I was crushed, so Of course I had to stick my big old hand up to take over as temporary hostess for Wanton Wednesday… Sadly due to internet issues that I’m blaming on the insane Queensland floods and crazy weather I wasn’t able to be online this morning to get this weeks Wanton Wednesday Post up (thankfully Lilly still got this weeks post out) – but I’m still participating and will be on the ball ready to take over full hostess duties next week.

Now as most people know Dangerous Lilly is a pretty fantastic sex blogger and although she’s lending me the reigns for her Wanton Wednesday Baby she is, as always still working on more amazing sex blogging things – the latest of which is her Erogenous Zones Series. Basic idea is each week she will be posting about an area of the body, an Erogenous zone that all us sex bloggers can come together and craft our own blog posts about that weeks Erogenous zone.

And so I’m kind of going with this weeks area - The Face – and also using it for my Wanton Wednesday Photo. Well, it’s my eye, but hey that’s a part of my face.

As for the actual Erogenous Zones post I only have a short piece to say about my face.

When it comes to my face it is an area that has long been neglected as an area that can conjure up all kinds of sexual interest, I forget the last time any one really looked at my face, but I do remember one very, very special, somewhat romantic moment involving my face.

The first night I was with B, I was so scared to meet him, so scared to be having sex with someone new after such a long time with the same person, so scared that I took some valium to calm my nerves. Sex Toy Review – Luv Touch Lipstick Vibe

Discreet, Purse Sized Mini Vibrator

I wanted to start the New Year with a bit of a bang and what better way to do that than by writing my first official review for an Australian Sex Toy retailer. And not just any old Aussie sex toy store, it’s for Femplay.com.au – possibly my favourite Aussie sex toy site!

The first item they have sent to me for review is the ‘Luv Touch Lipstick Vibe’ created by Pipedream Products. It is a small mini vibe that is discreet in both it’s size and design, cleverly disguised as a tube of lipstick this vibrator is easy to take with you anywhere you go and it is specially camouflaged to go un-noticed within one’s handbag. Its main use is as a clitoral vibrator, but through some experimentation I have found it to be useful in quite a few other ways as well.

Important Info

Use: Best used for direct clitoral stimulation, but it’s also nice on the nipples as well as other external erogenous zones. NOT SAFE FOR ANAL USE!

Size: Its overall length is 8.5cm (3.5″) and 1.5cm wide with a circumference of just over 6cm (2.5″) around the outer case & 4cm (1.5″) around the actual ‘lipstick’ tip.

Color: Matte black casing with a bright red tip that imitates a regular stick of lipstick.

Controls: A simple twist cap on the base of the toy switches it on and ramps up the vibration speed, turned anti- clockwise it reduces the intensity of the vibrations, lowering them right down before switching the toy off.

Material: ABS Plastic, 100% Body Safe and Phthalate Free.

Lube Compatibility: Silicone, Water and Oil based lubes are safe with this toy.

Power: 3 LR44 watch batteries (included)

Vibration Levels/Patterns: 1 steady pattern of vibrations that rise steadily from barely there to a super buzzy medium high. Levels aren’t discernible due to dial style control

Other: Completely Waterproof, Very Durable.

For one reason or another ABS plastic is one of my favourite materials when it comes to sex toys. It comes in a varied array of textures and finishes, but the matte finish of the Luv Touch Lipstick Vibe truly is my favourite. It feels a little like micro-fibre fabric as I rub it against my skin. I’ll even confess a secret to you – I love matte finished ABS Plastic far, far more than silicone. I feel like I’m breaking some kind of sex toy reviewers creed by not bowing down and worshipping Silicone, but the truth is I don’t like it, it is too squishy and sticky, it requires far too much lube, gets coated in dog hair and dust…I just don’t like it. Any how I digress – back to the review.

The number one feature of this mini vibe is its tiny size and clever disguise. It is the style of toy that if your kids, or parents happened to spot the the last thing they would assume that it is is a sex toy. Upon close inspection – yes it does look like fake lipstick, but if it is spotted when someone catches a glimpse inside your purse, or you happen to leave it on the bed side table no alarm bells will start ringing.

I’ve just been keeping mine in my handbag ever since I got it, just in case the urge struck me at some strange point whilst I’m out and about. It may seem odd to have a vibrator in your handbag “just in case”, but trust me when that urge hits you you’ll be glad you have it. But if the idea of having an orgasm at some random point in an average day doesn’t appeal to you it is also great as a bullet and its vibrations tend to travel quite well through other non vibrating toys such as silicone dildos and glass wands.

The Vibrations are pin pointed and easy to focus on a small area, however they are quite high pitched and buzzy. The style of vibrations that start to turn your fingers and other bits numb after a few minutes of direct contact. It only has the one pattern of continuous vibration, but they can be easily changed to a higher or lower intensity using the dial style control on the base of the toy.

I’m not a huge fan of these style of high pitched vibrations as they don’t seem to have enough oomph to coax out an orgasm, however I really enjoy them on other areas such as my nipples, or on my back. I really enjoy when my partner uses it as though it is a pen to write on my skin. I’ve also discovered he quite enjoys the buzzy vibrations against his perineum whilst I’m giving him a blow job. Just remember that this is not a toy for anal penetration. It doesn’t have a flared base and could easily go further than you wish… and we know how those stories turn out!!

Sound wise it is also quite high pitched, like high frequency white noise. It could possibly be heard by someone outside of the room whilst it is on maximum power. In comparing its noise level to the LELO Mia their noise levels are almost identical.

When it comes to toys powered by watch batteries I’ve become quite sceptical, all too often they don’t give the toy all that much power and are a complete pain in the behind to buy. I’m actually pleasantly surprised by the power the Luv Touch Lipstick Vibe puts out off of just 3 of them. In the 2-3 weeks I’ve been playing with it I am yet to notice a decline in the toys power. And that’s not all, it actually arrives with its 3 watch batteries inserted, all you have to do is remove a small paper tab from between the end cap and the batteries when your toy arrives and you are ready to go. Also Femplay Australia also stock 12 packs of these LR44 watch batteries available on sale for only $13.95((This price is correct on the day this review is published but is subject to change))

From Femplay Australia Luv touch lipstick vibe in its packaging As it is the style of vibrator for the woman on the go a ‘travel lock’ function would be great, but such a feature would push the price up quite a bit. If you are worried about it accidentally switching on you can simply remove the batteries. I can however tell you that I’m not at all concerned about this happening as no matter how rough I am with my handbag the dial base has enough resistance that it is a pretty hard to have it switch on accidentally all by itself.

In keeping it in my handbag – which I toss about and chuck all over the place without much regard for its contents I have found that it is really, and I mean really hard, or even impossible to for it to turn on whilst being beaten about. It has also pointed out just how durable this toy is. It doesn’t have a single mark or scratch on it from any of the other junk in my bag that has been knocking into it. I’m incredibly impressed by this, as well as the fact that the lid hasn’t come off once during such trials either!

When it comes to care and maintenance it can be easily cleaned with warm water and a dis-infecting soap. As it is fully waterproof you can submerge it without having to worry about damaging it. Also its Plastic structure is non-porous so if you do wish to share with a partner you can use a diluted solution of bleach to sterilise this toy.

When it comes to storage you can stow this little baby wherever you like. The clear plastic casing that the toy arrives in isn’t really suitable for storage, however its discreet design makes it easy to keep it hidden in plain sight!

In Conclusion

I’m not a big fan of watch battery vibrators, but this little lipstick vibe has made me realise maybe I shouldn’t write all such vibrators off immediately. The durability and strength of this vibe combined with its discreet design are the true stand out points for this mini vibe. Whilst it is a little high pitched and buzzy vibration wise I really love it for foreplay, as well as for stimulating other areas of the body. Every woman should have a mini vibe in their toy collection in my opinion and with keeping this toys very low price of $17.95AU¹ I can’t help but give the Luv Touch Lipstick Vibe 3 and a half stars out of 5.

As I mentioned earlier this is my first review for Femplay.com.au and I just wanted to share a little bit of a mini review of them and their service so that you, my wonderful readers can now what to expect when making a purchase from them.

My Package arrived on my doorstep in rural NSW within 48hrs of it being sent out by Femplay. If you live in any of the main metropolitan areas of Australia you can expect to receive your new toys even sooner².In fact if you order before 3pm they ensure next day delivery.

They are sent out in the standard Australia Post – Express Post satchels and are so normal in their appearance that no one would ever guess in a million years that there were Sex Toys enclosed in the package. Also on each and every product page their are visual images that quickly tell you whether or not a toy is Phthalate free and body friendly, as well as the manufacturer’s logo and whether or not the item is waterproof. It is a small touch, but it has a great positive affect on the shopping experience.

Keeping all of this in mind, along with their heavily discounted prices I have no choice but to give Femplay Australia a complete 5 out of 5 stars.

The year just gone

It is January 3rd and I’m yet to post my reflections about the year that has just ended And when stress and an attack of writer’s block has you frozen a good meme may just equal a good post. (If anyone has seen a good new years meme please suggest it to me). I do hope to find the time to do a re-cap of 2010 post before the end of January as it was a pretty monumental year for me.

So without further Ado I introduce you to my answers for the 2010 meme that I believe started with Jenn.nu or at least entered the sex blog-o-sphere via her

2010 Meme

1.What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?

Sat in seats (and bad seats at that) instead of being backstage or on the fence in the moshpit – Metallica Brisbane October 18th 2010. Oh and squirting – but not sure which was more monumental.

2.Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

There weren’t really any specific New Years resolutions that I made at the beginning of 2010. I had made the resolution to not txt B as our relationship got really screwed up in 2009 and I just wanted to put him behind me. I managed to stick to it until he got back in touch with me in Febuary.

Late in the year I made it my goal to get at least one Australian company on board for sex toy reviews, it was going to be a 2011 New Years resolution – but it has already happened, with great thanks to Femplay Australia!

3.Did anyone close to you give birth?

ummm, yes, my best friends sister had a little girl on the most legendary date for a birthday – May 10th

6.What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?

Australia Day – Jan 26th – but not sure why. May 24th, October 19th – Metallica and September 25th when by beautiful cousin got married in an amazing ceremony.

8.What was your biggest achievement of the year?

I think that learning to and discovering that I could squirt was a pretty monumental thing, as was getting a cheque from one of my sex toy affiliates.

9.What was your biggest failure?

Not getting my centrelink dramas sorted out was a pretty big fail for 2010.

10.Did you suffer illness or injury?

I missed the bottom step as I walked out of the supermarket and went splat on the foot path, severely twisting and rolling my ankle. It blew up like a football and I was on crutches for 6 weeks.

11.What was the best thing you bought?

By far it was my WeVibe2 from Adult Toys Corner – best $90 I ever spent. I wouldn’t be who I am today, nor would I have my blog, or all my other toys without it

hmm, X for sticking it out in a shit job and for being kind enough to lend me the money to cover my share of the bills etc after my whole centerlink debacle.

My Cousin’s soon to be wife snubbing me & my family at my other cousin’s wedding. And not only that, she invited my aunt from Tasmania up for the wedding (she’s met her 2 or maybe 3 times) whilst completely snubbing me. This not only hurt me, but it hurts my son. He loves his uncle Josh so much that this breaks my heart. Sadly I don’t think Josh knows as at his twin sister’s wedding he was talking about seeing my boy at his wedding. Everyone in my family will be there except for us. Seriously hurt over it and just don’t know what to do.

14.Where did most of your money go?

Centerlink took it away!! apart from that I guess cigarettes.

15.What events did you get really, really, really excited about?

By far Metallica again!

Ughh. Spent it with X’s parents, will not be doing it again this year.

uh.. none. Last one night stand was in like 1995 lol

United states of Tara, and Big Love were my two big new tv show finds.

Hourglass – The third in the Evernight Series by Claudia Gray it’s a bit of a twilight style rip off series, but I kinda love it.

I also just finished reading Ron Jeremy’s biography ‘The Hardest (working) Man In Show Business’ – it was kinda mediocre but rather revealing on a psychological level, will try to do a review post if I can get the chance.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery or rediscovery?

Metallica – again!

omg I cant recall, Possibly Kick Ass, really enjoyed that or Whip it! Ellen page and Drew Barrymore are stupendously hot, and I have a thing for roller derby girls!!

I turned 31 – gasp! saw AC/DC – pretty monumental

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Getting my Centrelink dramas sorted and back on track would’ve changed an awful lot of things and made 2010 much much better.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?

I cant say I really have a fashion concept – unless striped socks and Doc Martens count as a fashion concept!

34. What kept you sane?

The internet funnily enough.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most/least?

Dave Grohl, Dave Grohl & Dave Grohl. I dare say that would be my answer next year too

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

The screw up with the Federal Election and the hung parliament thing. Glad labour got in, but wish it hadn’t been due to that one idiot. Can you tell I don’t pay all that much attention to that kind of thing.
