Fleshlight Alien – Sex Toy Review

Despite not having the anatomy required to use a fleshlight in the manner it is designed to be used, I have still wanted one for the longest time… or rather I’ve wanted the Fleshlight Alien for the longest time. It’s the bright blue one – also known as the ‘Avatar’ fleshlight, and I’ve got to admit I jumped for Joy when I discovered that there actually was an Australian company that stocks it.

Even in the good ol’ US of A the Alien fleshlight is a pretty rare find, only a handful of sites carry it  so when sex toys 24/7 approached me and I discovered they stocked it  – well it was like a match made in heaven. There are a few things that separate this model from all others – the color of the sleeve and its case along with the internal texture and the moulding around the entrance. Normally the entry into a fleshlight features a clitoris, or a mouth, an anus even, but with the Alien you are faced with an entrance adorned by two clits. It looks kind of odd, but cool at the same time. Unless you are a guy with some girth you may not find this initial texture overly stimulating. Once you pass the vortex there’s a small space that looks a bit like an air lock in the photo ² . This helps to create extra suction as it tightens around the shaft of the penis when thrusting. In use we found it made quite a bit of extra noise that could be off putting but the sensation it created overcame the added sound effect. Once you pass the airlock the sleeve gets tighter³ with the rest of the sleeve is filled with raised bumps that remind me of little peas. This is the same highly effective texture used in Fleshlight’s best selling Stamina Training Unit.

After the texture and material I’m guessing that the other most important facet of a masturbator is its size. To be honest I was a little shocked at just how huge the whole unit is. I’ve heard of guys worrying that they will be too big for such toys, but I assure you that unless you are hung like Ron Jeremy I seriously doubt you will bottom out in this or any other fleshlight. They are around 10″ long and around 4″ wide and can easily accomodate any penis I’ve ever come across. If you are at the other end of the spectrum and are scared that the opposite will be true.. don’t worry so much, but possibly a different texture such as the Stamina Training Unit would suit you far more as this one is a bit loose fitting. The initial vortex portion is an inch or two deep and nowhere near as tight as the deeper textures so if you are looking for something tight from entry til end try out one of the other textures that are consistently tight throughout the sleeve.

All in all my test subject is happy with his avatar fleshlight, enough so that it has earned itself four out of five stars.

All About the Naughtibod

How it works

The Naughtibod comes with a splitter cord that looks a little bit like a set of headphones without the ear buds. This cord plugs straight into the headphone jack of your iPod (or other mp3 player etc). You can then plug your headphones into this splitter so you can hear the music you’re getting down to. Final step plug the end of the splitter cord into the bottom of the naughtibod and start experiencing music in a whole new way.

It takes a bit of trial and error to find the songs that work the best with the OhMiBod technology as some songs can overwhelm it and simply cause a rather boring constantly on style of vibration. You can control the intensity of the vibrations by adjusting the volume of the music source. I strongly recommend you try somewhere between 70% and 85% of the maximum volume. I found when I turned things up to the max it drowned out the intricacies of the music and created a constant hum rather than a noticeable pattern.

One of the big bonus points for OhMiBod toys is that whilst they can create great vibrations from your favourite songs they also function as regular vibrators as well.  In earlier models OhMiBod toys came with two different end caps – one to connect with your music player and a second to control the vibration patterns manually. In version 2.OH there’s just the one end cap. The new Naughtibod end cap features two control buttons ( a circle and a triangle) as well as the port for the splitter cord to plug into.

My Musical Choices

I found that the naughtibod responded delightfully to some of my favourite bass rocking songs like 7 Nation Army by the White Stripes and No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age¹

Sadly some of my favourite Generation X anthems were just turned into a muddy grunge soup, but good old fashion punk such as the sex pistols went off!! But the #1 band on my OhMiBod playlist has got to be Metallica, they seriously made my entire body wriggle and writhe!

Size Matters

Size wise I wasn’t overly impressed. I’m a girl who likes to feel fully filled so the naughtibod is kinda on the small side for my tastes. The small size did however prove to be useful for a bit of G-Spot stimulation, but with everyone’s G-Spots being located in their own unique position I can’t guarantee it will do the same for you.

I think the naughtibod would make a pretty amazing first vibrator. With a size that isn’t overwhelming and such a wide variety of vibration possibilities I find it hard to knock it. The vibrations travel well throughout the entire shaft of this toy and its shape makes for some enjoyable sensations for thrusting. It’s made of 100% body safe materials that are free of Phthalates and other nasties.

When cleaning you need to be careful not to let water get into the port where the headphone jack plugs in. I found using a damp wash cloth to be the easiest way to clean this toy as excessive water could destroy it. I also always remove batteries after use as if they were to leak they can destroy your toy. In between uses I store my Naughtibod along with its cord and batteries inside of the pink velveteen pouch that comes with the toy.

In Conclusion

In comparison to the original OhMiBod vibrator I am incredibly impressed. The Naughtibod offers a far more enjoyable shape and surface texture and I’m convinced that the 2.OH version  interprets the music with greater definition than the original toy. Whilst it lacks the kind of size I personally enjoy I find it pretty hard to knock this toy and feel it really does deserve a full 4 out of 5 stars.

Teenagers Have Sex

Not sure if all of my blog readers know this or not but I have a child (I know gasp!!). I have a 14 year old son. A lovely, kind, annoying, cranky and hormonal 14 year old son.  He is an average kid, he gets average grades and acts just like one would expect from a kid his age. He looves footy, lives for WWE and cannot be seperated from his i pod or mobile phone.

He’s absolutely normal and average in everyway.

It’s currently school holidays down here in Australia so he is off on holidays having a ball on the Gold Coast. Theme parks, beaches, and of course girls.

Our home is what I’ve previously called a “masturbation friendly” household. Whilst I’m personally around 95% certain that my son won’t be having sex (be it intercourse, oral sex or anything in between) whilst he is away, nor any time soon there is always that slim chance. There’s also a chance that one of his mates up there might decide to have sex whilst theyre on holidays. In the case that someone may choose to have sex I’d like for condoms to be available.

According to the Kinsey institute 25% of males have had sexual intercourse by the time they are 15 – so I’m not totally insane. I was having sex when I was 14, plenty of my friends – both mal & female were having sex at that young age, one was even pregnant before she turned 15.

Teenagers have sex. They often do so without protection. Some day my teenage son is going to have sex and I just want to ensure he is one of those who do use protection.

And if in the mean time between now & when he does I couldn’t care less if he uses the condoms as water bombs. I simply want him to know that they are there whenever he, or any of his friends do decide they would like to have sex.

Sticking your head in the sand won’t do anything other than earn yourself a kick in the ass you didn’t see coming. Other parents may disagree with me entirely – that’s one of the very reasons why that bathroom cupboard is always stocked!

Dildo Dilemma

Which to choose?

After over a years worth of reviewing sex toys and other adult products I’ve got some great toys in my toy box. The wide array of Vixen toys that Eden stocks includes a lot of plus size models that simply make my mouth water. They are big without being extreme. I want to feel full and completely satisfied without the burning, stretching sensation. Something around the 6″ mark girth wise. Oh and a pronounced head would be extra nice!!²
