The Swan Collection of vibrators that are available within Australia are essentially the same toys that are available and known in the USA as the Vanity line of vibrators from Jopen. The differences in the products are minimal, but they include the color of the silicone, the names of the different models and the packaging and inclusions. At the end ofthe day the Swan Trumpeter is virtually the same toy as the Jopen Vanity VR9 at the end of the day.

When I was first offered the Swan Trumpeter for review I wasn’t as excited as I should of been. I’m a rabbit lover – My clit is normally the epicenter of my orgasms, but if it’s getting attention my vagina starts screaming for some too – So dual stimulator vibes really are my thing and the trumpeter just isn’t that style of vibe. I’m also a bit of a size queen so I doubted that the slender shafts of the Swan Trumpeter would feel satisfying – Yet I’ve fallen in love with it’s smooth, svelte, curved shaft and strong, rounded ends that are perfect to apply pressure and deliver high octane vibrations directly to the G-Spot.

Swan Trumpeter Vibrator

The Swan Trumpeter is a double ended vibrator; that is in the sense that it has two usable ends rather than one vibrator that can be used by two people at once. Its overall length is close to 10″ but the insertable, usable length of each end is close to 4″ which leaves a space of around 2″ in the center where the two control buttons are located.

The larger, more bulbous end has a maximum circumference of 5.5″  with a gentle curve which makes it perfect for G-Spot stimulation. Of the two separate motors in this vibe it is very easy to discern that the larger, more powerful motor is located within the rigid, larger end.

The rigidity of the larger end extends just slightly into the smaller end of this vibe allowing the top 3.5″ of the shaft to be incredibly flexible. It can even be bent as far back as 180 degrees (although I wouldn’t advise you do so as it certainly could damage the  inner wiring!) It has a much smaller, less robust motor than the opposite end, but still it is quite strong.  With the motor located right in the small spherical end it is perfect for delivering intense, pin-point style stimulation that I’ve not experienced in any other toy before.

The two control buttons are centrally located and are very intuitive to use. There aren’t any distinct levels of vibrations, rather the longer you hold down the control button the higher the vibration intensity. To switch the toy off you simply press the control button once to switch it off. This is terrific if you live in a situation where you may get interrupted, be it by kids or room mates, however it’s also a huge pain in the butt. I was seriously upset about the same issue in the VR5 – it is far, far too easy to accidentally switch it off during use. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve accidentally switched this toy off right at the most inopportune moment.

When you first receive your Swan Trumpeter it is already charged but you may find yourself unable to quickly switch it on – this is because it has the travel lock engaged. To unlock you simply hold both buttons down for 4-5 seconds after which the lights behind the buttons should flicker. To re-lock it in the future simply repeat the process of holding both buttons down.

Apart from the issue with accidentally switching it off my one and only other gripe with this toy – and the rest of the Vanity by Jopen range – is that they claim to be completely seamless silicone. A statement which simply isn’t true. It might be only very slight, but there  is certainly a discernible line running around the toy, the seam between the two halves is visible. It doesn’t have any impact on its use… but don’t call it seamless when the seam is so visible!  There is also a raised circle around the charging port along with some slightly raised logos and information on the back of the toy. Again it doesn’t affect its use, but felt it was worth mentioning.

The packaging of the Swan Trumpeter is absolutely awesome. I have to admit I’m a bit of a packaging whore. I love being able to keep toys in their boxes all nicely lined up and stacked as though they were shoe boxes! It isn’t what I’d call discreet packaging, rather it’s very informative and provides info on the product in numerous languages.

Included with the Swan vibrator is an instruction booklet, black satin drawstring storage bag and its charger. Along with the charger they supply 4 different inter-changeable plugs to allow it to be used with numerous international power point configurations. I could be wrong but I believe they are for Australia, America, the UK and possibly Europe or Canada.

As simple as it may seem this is one of my favourite elements of this product. When you buy an expensive sex toy you want to be able to play with it and use it without having to stuff around buying special plugs just to charge the darn thing. I hope more companies will take note of this and supply these simple attachments for us international customers!

My two favourite aspects of the Swan Trumpeter are the strength of its vibrations and its tremendous ability to conjure up squirting orgasms. The larger end seems to be able to sit up just behind my pubic bone in a position that allows it to continuously apply a medium amount of pressure to my G-Spot whilst leaving both hands free to do other things. Obviously thrusting with it creates even more stimulation, but I’ve gotten into a habit of using this one hands free internally whilst going to town on my clit with my mystic wand.  It’s also been quite popular in bed as my partner can still go down on me whilst using it to hit my often hard to find G-Spot. It’s got the curves I love on the nJoy Eleven just without the bulk that often gets in the way.

All in all this is a pretty damn awesome vibrator. I would love to give  it a full 5 stars but its infuriating habit of switching off if I accidentally bump the control button means it comes in at a pretty high 4.5 stars. If you are looking for a strong vibrator that is great for G-Spotting you really can’t go wrong with the Swan Trumpeter (or the VR9 in the USA). It might be a little more expensive than other vibes that look & seem similar, but it really does deliver when it comes to high powered vibrations, the kind I’m yet to find from another brand.

Review

I’ve reviewed quite a few rabbit vibrators now and tried even more – more than I can recall to be honest and this is going to be one of the ones I don’t remember. It has a few features I like, but then the same features have some negative drawbacks which leaves it in a bit of a no mans land for me. Sure I can see that it might be a great vibrator for some, but not me.

The things I do like about it include how easy it is to use. It features a 2 button only interface that’s intuitive to use. One button switches the toy on and off – great for those who live in places that aren’t masturbation friendly zones, who may need an instant off switch if invaded by kids or room mates. The second button cycles through the 7 different vibration settings. The first 3 are low, medium and high constant vibrations, which are followed by 4 patterns.

Now as I said some of the things I love also have negative drawbacks – the easy 2 button interface doesn’t allow me to take any control over the dual motors that are placed at the base of the clitoral arm and at the tip of the shaft. If I’ve got two power sources I want to be able to manipulate and enjoy them both, and not just in a synchronised buzz.

It is rather quiet, one of the selling points of the toy – but sadly what you give up in noise you also loose in power. I found that even on the high settings I couldn’t feel the internal vibrations and the ones on my clit were quite buzzy and difused at the surface rather than travelling deep into the pleasurable points under the skin.

It’s a good length, no uterus stabbing action going on and it is incredibly flexible. The issue is the wrong part of the toy is doing the flexing. The shaft can be easily bent back 180 degrees, whereas the clitoral arm, the piece that needs to be flexible to create a range of intensities to suit the user as well as to adjust to their anatomy is almost rock hard. With even just some mild thrusting it felt like I was trying to sandpaper my clit with a screwdriver. An issue that no amount of lube seemed to abate.
To top it all off it comes in that dreadfully crappy, signature cal exotics packaging. The clear plastic container that never stays closed and gets crushed ridiculously easyily during transport.

So this isn’t a vibe I’m going to tell friends about or really reccommend full stop. It’s just so – blah. Or what my kid calls ‘Meh’. It’s a bit of a nothing that will fall to the bottom of a toy box and get forgotten about, or put in the pile for donation to the vibratorless out there. I want to give it just a single star, but the fact that its sterilisable and could possibly go on to find a home that may appreciate it I’ll crumble and stretch it to two stars. A just barely 2 stars though.

I was rather excited to learn a few weeks ago that LELO would be adding three news couple’s sex toys to the already impressive Insignia collection. I love my Insignia Soraya to death, so I couln’t wait to try out one of the 2nd generation of Insignia toys and the clit hugging Tiani certainly seemed to be the toy best suited to my sex toy tastes.

I absolutely love the SenseMotion remote, but its ability to communicate with the Tiani really lets it down. There was some major #FAIL attatched to this toy, most of which is attributed to the signal from the remote.

Materials: Really soft, luxurious, velvety silicone with a metalic gold ABS plastic accent, which is also used on the back of the remote control unit – the same materials found in the other Insignia vibrators.

Size: The remote is 2.5″ across  and 7/8″ thick, the toy itself is a lot harder to measure. Pulled out straight it is around 6″ long, 3.5″ of that is the clitoral vibrator portion with the remaining 3″ being the arm that holds it in place. At its widest point the clitoral vibe is 1.35″ wide with a 3.5″ circumference.  So What is Tiani?

The Tiani itself is a wearable, remote controlled clitoral vibrator with a shape that’s somewhat reminiscent of the we vibe. Tiani is designed to be a couple’s sex toy, but it doesn’t rule out some fun solo play. It has a very flexible arm that slides inside the vagina in order to hold the outer vibrating arm against the clitoris. This internal arm is just there to hold it in place rather than vibrate on the inside pf the body. As far as I can tell the Tiani is the only remote control clitoral vibe available on the market.¹ It’s a versatile little toy that can be played with  solo, worn during intercourse or used for some kinky remotely controlled thrills by a couple.

What is SenseMotion™?

The function of the Tiani is rather awesome but the awesome sauce gravy is the way it is controlled using LELO’s groundbreaking, body shaking SenseMotion™ technology. It is a little bit like a PS3, or Wii controller, controlled by movements and gestures rather than just buttons, it even includes sensory feedback like the rumble pack of PS3 controllers.

The way you move, tilt and angle the remote controls the way that the sex toy responds. Holding it flat it runs at 10% intensity but as you tilt it the intensity ramps up, reaching 100% when it is held upright.  At the same time the remote mimics the vibrations of the toy creating a synchronized sensory experience between the two partners.

When holding the toy in one hand and manipulating the remote with the other it was a very uncanny experience. Even the smallest of movements with the remote caused the toy to react. It’s a difficult sensation to explain, but it’s absolutely awesome!

When in use I could feel the gestures of the remote being recreated within the toy. I discovered this little flick, that if done just right, makes the vibrations travel from the gold section of the toy right up to the tip. This created a sensation similar to a vibrating tongue licking the clit. It doesn’t come close to the real thing, but the sensation was definitely similar. There is a bit of a learning curve with this revolutionary toy and its remote, but the SenseMotion™ technology really does provide imediate sensory feedback, further linking the wearer and the one with the control.

The Review

Packaging

In true LELO style everything about this toy, from the packaging, to the finish and even the instructions carry an air of sophistication and luxury. Just like the rest of the Insignis line the packaging consdists of an outer, glossy cardboard box which contains the thick, high quality, matte black box that contains the toy and everything else that goes with it.

The Toy and the remote sit on a shelf, held in place by soft velvet coveredwith cut outs to hold the pieces in place safely during transport. This is also where your gold Insignia brooch lays. To the side there is a lift up section where the charger is located. There’s also a secret little compartment that lies under the top shelf that holds the toy and its remote, I call it secret because it took me forever to find it!

The Remote

The smooth, button shaped, wireless remote unit is shaped to fit perfectly within the palm of the hand. The front side is covered in the same sleek, velvety silicone as the toy and the seperate back plate is made from gold, metallic ABS plastic. It operates using 2 AAA size batteries that come included, which is something I love, and in this price bracket I think it is expected that everything should be included.

Once you’ve put the batteries in you use the special key to twist and lock the back plate into position. They recommend that you not use coins or knives etc to do this – and other objects I tried failed, so if you loose your special key you are in trouble!

The Secret Key

I spent the first 5 or 10 minutes trying to work out how to get the gold plastic back to stay attatched to the remote. When I couldn’t solve it I went looking for the instructions which were hidden away in a secret little compartment under where the toy laid in the box that you access via the section where the charger sits. As I emptied out the booklets and satin storage bag this funky little bit of plastic came out. I had no idea what it was until I actually took a look at the instructions – It’s a cool little doo dad that fits into the notch on the golden backplate so that you can twist it into a locked position, or un-lock it to remove the batteries. Which reminds me, I strongly recommend that you remove the remote batteries in between uses as they could easily leak and destroy your fabulous new toy.

The buttons & Vibration Patterns

The remote features three different buttons, minus -, brackets (), and plus +.

+ switches the remote on and - switches it off. + & - also adjust the intensity of the vibrations when it is used in any of the 6 pre-programmed vibration patterns.

The center () button controls the vibration mode and it cycles through them in the following order:

•     SenseMotion mode 1 – A 2 axis mode where the tilt or angle that the control is held in sets the intensity. Moving it on the two axis’ can take it from 10% power when held flat, right up to 100% when held in an upright position.
•     SenseMotion Mode 2 – This is the really fun one where every movement gets translated into vibrations and pulses. It’s a LOT of fun to play around with it and see what movements do what, which gestures you enjoy and which angles provide you with your perfect intensity. The possibilities in this mode are virtually endless.
•     Mode 3 – Continuous Vibration with over 10 intensities (that I could tell)
•     Mode 4 – long On, short off pulsation pattern
•     Mode 5 – Quick on, Quick off, fast pulsation pattern
•     Mode 6 – A very quick, mini ramping pattern
•     Mode 7 – A  much slower ramping pattern that rises and resets itself every 4 or 5 seconds
•     Mode 8 – Best described as a random ramping and pulsating pattern. It’s quite unique

One of the beauties of the SenseMotion remote is that the vibrations created in the toy are also echoed in the remote, which virtually turns the remote into a vibrator as well. Not only giving sensory feedback to the control holder, it can also be used as a vibrator for them as it has really strong vibrations and feels great wwhen held against most of the bodies erogenous zones. It is a bit of a jack hammer though!

The Tiani itself is discreet and quiet, easy to use in public, but the remote rumbles like a tractor. Thankfully LELO have thought of this and programmed it so that you can switch of the vibrations in the remote, turning off the attention grabbing sounds. To switch of the vibrations in the remote simply hold down the middle () button for 3 seconds. To switch them back on you just repeat the same thing.

There is also a travel lock option which just requires you to hold down both the plus + and minus – button for three seconds to both lock and unlock the remote. This is the same as other LELO Insignia vibratotrs.

The Tiani

The Tiani has a shape that is reminiscent of the we vibe, a flexible two armed vibrator that can be worn by a woman. The larger end with the golden strip is the vibrating one, the slightly shorter, much slimmer arm is the one that slides inside the vagina and keeps it snuggly in place. It’s a versatile little toy that can be played with  solo, worn during intercourse or used for some kinky remotely controlled thrills by a couple.

For it to work you need to switch it on and create the wireless conection between it and the remote. Once your remote is switched on you press down a small button on the front of the toy for a second – you should then see a small orange light flashing which indicates it is searching for the remote – which they refer to as seek mode. It can take a few seconds for the connection to be made, but once it does you should feel a very slight vibration in the toy.

From here you can go for it and explore the thousands of different patterns possible with the Sense Motion controller.

 I was quite surprised that when using the sense motion setting and the remote, the vibrations seemed to move about within the vibrating arm. A bit like the remote was a magnet for the vibrations making them move up and down the length of my clit- which is pretty darn orgasmic!

I think the vibrations could definitely be more rumbley, they are way too light and buzzy for my clit of steel that likes everything turned up to eleven! However I really enjoyed using it along with other toys such as my Eleven as it almost turns it into a rabbit vibe by giving me the dual stimulation that I love so much.

The downside of Tiani  is that it doesn’t work without the remote. So If you loose the special, secret key, or your out of AAA batteries you can’t play with it, and if you completely loose the remote… well you are up the creek really. To me that’s a pretty big downside.

I also had a few issues with the toy not picking up the remote’s signal. If it moved out of range Tiani would cut out until the remote came back in rage again. Which was pretty bad, just holding the remote above my head whilst lying down made it cut out. The signal doesn’t travel through flesh well, thankfully I didn’t have the same issue whilst I was standing up and moving around. I think the quoted 12 foot range might be a little exaggerated, especially for the SenseMotion to work. I’d say 5-6feet feet would be a better estimate.

Recharging

Rather than having a tiny porthole like the other Insignia vibrators, the Tiani unscrews and comes apart in 2 pieces to expose the port within the vibrating arm of the toy. The charger simply plugs into this point. Whilst it is charging the little orange light in the toy will flash. It takes only 2 hours to fully charge the toy, and once it is fully charged the light will stop flashing and just glow orange.

It is worth noting that you can use any LELO charger with any LELO toy – they are all the interchangeable. For anyone like me that’s forever getting chargers mixed up, the LELO chargers have a tiny “MLF” logo on the miniature label.

Cleaning

Being waterproof the Tiani is very easy to clean and care for. A simple wash with warm water and disinfecting soap will work fine, but I’ve begun to prefer using toy wipes to quickly clean my toys after use which works just as easily.

The seal on the remote may not be waterproof, so my recommendation would be to wipe it over with a damp cloth rather than submerging it.No part of this toy should be boiled or put through the dishwasher as that will just fry the electrical components!

For storage you can either stick with the box it arrives in, or store it in the satin pouch provided.

My thoughts

The SenseMotion technology is absolutely awesome, the kinds of kinky fun couples can have with this are only limited by the imagination. Previously there have only been vibrating eggs that work via remote, but now there’s a remote controlled clitoral vibe for women like me that need the external stimulation more than the internal type.When combined with the remote that also vibrates it does push this to the top of the Couples sex toys category.

With SenseMotion the learning curve is steep – there’s no denying that, but it is well worth the investment of time for the pleasurable pay off. With a bit of playing around you will find what movemnents and gestures with the remote create the kinds of sensations that you enjoy most.

With the remote control set to silent there’s the possibility of having some great fun whilst out in public. The Tiani is incredibly quiet and the remote looks nothing like a sex toy remote – only other LELO insignia owners will recognise it for what it is – allowing you to play as a couple anywhere you please be it the local shopping center or the opera. It’s a play anywhere kind of toy thatis also useful for synchronized couples play in the bedroom.

I’d love for the vibrations to be stronger, but the kind of strength I love just isn’t possible with a toy this size, but unless you too have a clit of steel that likes wand massagers at full strength I dare say you will enjoy the Tiani.

It’s a really exciting new concept in sex toys that LELO has added its special touch of luxury to but the remote signal not travelling through flesh is a HUGE issue, as is the fact that it doesn’t work without the remote. I’m thinking that the new Pico Bong Mahana that does a similar job, sans the remote and rechargeable battery, might just be a better, far cheaper option. If I’m forking over close to $200 I expect a product to work just the way its supposed to. I had thought mine could be faulty, however at least one other sex toy reviewer had the exact same issue. This huge let down means I can’t score this toy as high as I want to, I want to give it a 5 but the signal issue is major so it barely scrapes into the 3 star category I’m afraid.

I have so  any positive comments to make about this toy it’s difficult to decide just where to start…

My Review

The G-Spot Lollipop is the perfect toy for coaxing a shy or nervous G-Spot out of hiding and has quickly become my go to toy for internal stimulation.

Its simple, unadorned design is modern and fun. It doesn’t need any bells or whistles to create and cause such exceptional pleasure. Despite not having the anatomy required to use a fleshlight in the manner it is designed to be used, I have still wanted one for the longest time… or rather I’ve wanted the Fleshlight Alien for the longest time. All About the Naughtibod

My Musical Choices

I found that the naughtibod responded delightfully to some of my favourite bass rocking songs like 7 Nation Army by the White Stripes and No One Knows by Queens of the Stone Age¹

Sadly some of my favourite Generation X anthems were just turned into a muddy grunge soup, but good old fashion punk such as the sex pistols went off!! But the #1 band on my OhMiBod playlist has got to be Metallica, they seriously made my entire body wriggle and writhe!

Size Matters

Size wise I wasn’t overly impressed. I’m a girl who likes to feel fully filled so the naughtibod is kinda on the small side for my tastes. The small size did however prove to be useful for a bit of G-Spot stimulation, but with everyone’s G-Spots being located in their own unique position I can’t guarantee it will do the same for you.

I think the naughtibod would make a pretty amazing first vibrator. With a size that isn’t overwhelming and such a wide variety of vibration possibilities I find it hard to knock it. In Conclusion

In comparison to the original OhMiBod vibrator I am incredibly impressed. The Naughtibod offers a far more enjoyable shape and surface texture and I’m convinced that the 2.OH version  interprets the music with greater definition than the original toy. Whilst it lacks the kind of size I personally enjoy I find it pretty hard to knock this toy and feel it really does deserve a full 4 out of 5 stars.

Like many of the other adult toys in the Jopen Vanity line the VR5 is a rabbit style vibrator… or rather a dual stimulation vibrator, as it (Thank God!!) doesn’t have any features that are in anyway similar to any animal or insect. It has an almost indefinable, somewhat blob like shape. Maybe you could compare it to an amoeba but I don’t mind toys that look like one celled organisms, it’s sex toys fashioned after actual animals I tend to dislike.¹

With the whole new ‘Jopen’ brand Cal Exotics have done quite a number of things to raise the quality level above all other products they produce. They are all 100% Body Safe, Phthalate free silicone, with Eco Friendly rechargeable batteries and arrive with somewhat discreet packaging (at least in comparison to some other CalEx products) … but the seams and logos imprinted in the silicone are far from the high end finish you would expect from a top shelf product and its matching price tag.

Now the seams themselves aren’t too much of an issue,but they do point to what in my mind is a lack of attention to the details during the R&D process of these toys. I also find it kinda inexplicable as to why they needed to include raised logos on the actual body of the toy. I don’t need my high end vibrator to tell me on its body that it uses 5Volts of DC, Nor does it need to tell me not to dispose of it in the regular garbage or advertise that its a ‘Power Bullet™’ product – that’s what the instruction booklet that comes with upper class sex toys is for. I’m just guessing the heavily raised circle on the back of the shaft is so that blind people can tell where you plug the toy in as it really isn’t required. As I said though the seams etc aren’t all that big of a deal, I just kind of expected a little more from a toy within this premium category.

The thing they did get right though was the power!! With two separately controlled motors and a rechargeable battery it’s a bit of a power horse. The motor embedded within the G-Spot targeting shaft has a great rumbley, grumbley, deep throbbing characteristic to its vibrations and is quite remarkably quiet. The clitoral arm’s motor is quite a bit buzzier. I’m thinking this may very well be down to the small size of it. It puts out a little more of a high pitched vibration and sound, but it has managed to deliver more than one seriously intense orgasm.

It’s velvet-esque, matte finish means that the silicone creates even more drag than one would usually expect – so lube is an absolute MUST with this toy. I seriously recommend Astroglide’s Glycerine & Paraben free lube, its by FAR the best lube I’ve come across. It won’t damage your toys, nor will it cause you any of the nasty side effects such as thrush/yeast infections or other possible allergic reactions. When I’m using the VR5 I start to use it in a somewhat circular pattern. With my fingers on its base I roll it around in a circle kin of, a bit like I’m stirring a cake inside me² which drives both my clit & G-Spot crazy. However as the surface causes so much drag I started to give myself a carpet burn style injury – thus lube is an absolute must.

The curve of the shaft and its bulging shape add to the pleasure but for me its the clitoral arm with its extra flexibility and devoted motor that make it rock my world. Now to the buttons. As I mentioned there are 2 – one for each motor. Only issue is that the handle portion of the toy is incredibly small- only an inch or so long, so right as you are just getting into your groove you accidentally bump one of the two buttons and that motor switches off. It has such a feather light trigger that it is almost impossible not to inadvertently switch it off right when you want to turn it up!! It is such an obvious issue that it’s just insane that it wasn’t rectified back in the R&D process, long before it was sent into production. Either make it so that you can’t accidentally turn it off with a single touch or make the handle portion longer so that they aren’t constantly being hit during even basic use!

The VR5 has given me some great orgasms but it has also ruined some potentially mind blowing ones!! I love its shape as well as the strong rumbley vibrations within the G-Spot targeting shaft, I love that it’s rechargeable and I completely adore the T-Shirt, Jersey fabric storage bag – but those two buttons are like the ‘Buttons ‘O DOOM’ killing prospective orgasms before they get a chance to live. If it weren’t for them I’d easily rate it a 4 or 4.5, but Buttons ‘O DOOM earn the VR5 only a three star rating from me

It seems that California Exotics are starting to produce some rather high quality sex toys – that is if this vibrator is anything to go by. It’s made from very soft, very pliable silicone that doesn’t have any kind of funky aroma… unlike some other products of theirs that I’ve seen or rather smelled!

Whilst I am impressed with the quality of the materials as well as the toy’s functions and what seems to be pretty decent manufacturing I honestly doubt that Cal Exotics will shrug off that ‘cheapish’ feel unless they do away with their el-cheapo, super crap packaging.  Like many of their products this vibrator arrives in the almost trademark hard plastic box, the one that doesn’t hold up for very long and can’t be recycled. I honestly doubt that I would want to buy this if I saw it on a shelf in a store as the standard packaging really doesn’t do the quality of this sex toy justice.

Enough about the crappy plastic box, if it came in a really nice, luxury box it would probably cost twice as much as it is actually quite a nice little vibrator.

It has a slightly angled head intended to stimulate the G-Spot, but nowhere near as pronounced as it would need to be to get mine to wake up and take notice. It has a slightly unique internal design as the base of the toy is solid, just as one would expect as there are mechanics housed beneath the silicone, but the middle area of the shaft is soft and flexible. It feels as though this vibrator has two separate motors, one in the base and another up in the tip of the toy. This helps to really deliver the vibrations to their target.

As I mentioned above there are three constantly on vibration patterns there are a medium low, medium and medium high which are then followed by 4 more patterns of escalation and pulsation.The control panel consists of just two buttons that are slightly raised in the white plastic base. One to switch the toy on and off, the second to start the vibrations and then cycle through the seven different settings. The on/off switch can also be used at any time to quickly switch the toy off – there’s no 2 second delay with this one, which is a feature I appreciate.

It claims to be whisper quiet, but whilst it isn’t a jack-hammer it also isn’t all that quiet. It can be heard from across the room, but if you had another source of noise such as the tv on in the background no one outside of the room will be able to hear it. And again if you were to get ‘caught’ it does have that one click, easy off switch which is a big selling point for those of us with kids or flatmates.

I’m never going to be a huge fan of silicone, it picks up every stray dog hair and piece of dirt and requires far too much lube (Often it requires extra applications of lube depending on how long you play for), however the quality of this silicone is pretty high. It has some slightly raised vertical lines in the silicone, however they aren’t significant enough to really be felt during use. The very soft, extra flexible nature of this vibrators shaft I think this would make a pretty awesome first vibrator for someone simply due to the fact that you can hammer away at it, thrusting like there’s no tomorrow and it won’t go poking into your cervix and causing any unwanted damage. A bruised cervix seriously hurts!

All in all, with price and product quality taken into consideration I’m pretty damn impressed by this vibrator. I can’t give it five full stars as that’s a rating saved for the cream of the crop, but it is well and truly worthy of a good strong four. If it came with better packaging and more of a G-Spotting curve I would be a much happier masturbator.

From the moment I opened my first sample sachet of Boy Butter lube I’ve been madly in love with it. When Vibrator.com asked me which adult products I would like to review from their vast sex toy inventory, my mind skipped over all of the toys, Vibrators and other products. Honing in on a 4oz tub of Boy Butter – such a cute but cheeky name, I just love it!!

What Is Boy Butter?

Boy butter is the brain child of Eyal Feldman. A New Yorker looking for a lube that didn’t get sticky and soon need to be re-applied whilst also not clinging to the skin and leaving greasy residue behind on the user for days to come. When he couldn’t find such a product he created one!

It arrives in a traditional butter like tub that from a distance really does look like a miniature, 4oz tub of butter. Although it doesn’t need to be kept in the refrigerator, you can put it in there to add some kinky chills to playtime. I’ve found it incredibly refreshing to do so during out hot Australian summer. You just have to be sure to hide it right at the back of the fridge otherwise you may end up with it on your toast!

Its great for boys, girls, and toys as well and can be used in almost every way you would use regular lube – regular latex condoms being the exception as it may have a negative impact on the condom’s integrity.

This is where boy butter truly impresses me. It goes on like creamy body butter. Unlike your usual clear, runny and often sticky lubes this one is soft and creamy. It goes on and it stays on, letting you get lost in what you are doing. A good lube is one you don’t really notice during use. It goes on, it stays on and it does its job without causing irritation or having any negative impact upon your sexual experience.

Despite being an oil based lube it doesn’t stain, I even rubbed it on satin which loves to soak up oil and turn into a stain, but still No Stain! It also lasts an incredibly long time and rarely do you need to stop and grab more. Wether you’re playing it solo, with toys or with a partner it lasts for a really long time.

Whilst its longevity may make you wonder about it being hard to clean off you really don’t need to worry. Bot butter washes off with just water. No soap needed to get it off of your skin or toys. Just water. It really doesn’t get much easier than that. Well actually it kinda does.

If you are as lazy as me and really don’t want to get up and wash down afterwards it actually just soaks into your skin just like regular body butter. I’ve fallen asleep more than once after using it and haven’t noticed any kind of residue the next morning. That said, when its just me alone or with a toy I do need to rinse my hands off as they feel a little greasy, but I’ve got to say I much prefer greasy hands and moisturised pink bits as opposed to sticky ones Ive had after using other lubes.

This original formula is also scentless and tasteless. I’ve tried the water based one which I swear smelt like coconut butter, but the original has no smell. The sickly sweet, almost bitter taste of some lubes really puts me off wanting to use them. Lube should be felt but not tasted in my opinion, and Boy Butter original just doesn’t have a noticeable taste to me. It makes the skin feel creamy and kind of luscious but it does so without affecting the taste buds.

I absolutely love this product however I cant overlook the fact that this original formulation isn’t safe to be used with regular, latex condoms¹. I want to give it 5 stars, but I think this aspect is a rather large deterrent so am only giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

LELO Soraya

Soraya Queen of Luxury Vibrators

My first ever vibrator was a rabbit vibe, it came to me offering to satisfy my craving for being penetrated whilst simultaneously driving my clit wild until I reached Orgasm. This toy arrives fully charged and ready to use. Many people have said that they were surprised that the metallic center section of all toys in the Insignia line is metallic plastic rather than actual metal. I knew to expect this and initially thought that it felt far too light when I picked it up, however after using it though I think the extra weight would’ve negatively impacted the experience.

Isla, Soraya & Alia

The Soraya as well as the other two toys in LELO’s Insignia range – the Isla G-Spot vibrator and the Alia clitoral vibrator are made of this metallic plastic which forms a circular hole through the toys that makes for a very ergonomic handle. The core of the toy is then covered in a silicone skin leaving the plastic visible on the sides. These sides are flattened, leaving it with a slightly odd silhouette, rather than the rounded shaft one might expect (you can see it in the front view in the image above). During use it isn’t really noticeable, well not as far as your vagina is concerned, your hands may however disagree.

The transition between the Plastic and silicone is the one facet of this toy that I dislike.The hole at the bottom of the toy is perfect for putting your thumb through to grasp the toy and get some amazing thrusting going. With the super soft silicone tip on the clitoral part of the toy it means you can get pretty rough with the thrusting without causing pain or injury to your clit. Over time though the seam starts to rub against your hand and fingers. For such an ergonomic toy that it is so easy to hold it in your hand whilst positioning the control buttons where your fingers intuitively reach to find them this rough area is a pretty big downfall. I love this toy and want to use it every day AND every night, but I really don’t want to get blisters!

[EDIT] 28th Jan - After using this vibrator at least once or twice every single day over the last week or so I’m happy to report that my initial fear of getting a blister is unfounded. I am blister free even though I’m using it multiple times a day – I LOVE this toy!!

Also in the crevice between the two materials fluids and such can gather making it a bit fussier to clean (although it isn’t that hard), and near impossible to ensure it’s sterile. You can clean it in a basin of warm water and soap – remember it is fully waterproof, and just use a toothbrush along this seam or perhaps use a toothpick or something similar covered with a make up pad or baby wipe to prevent the toy from being damaged. The only way to sterilise it is to use a bleach solution wiping it over the surfaces or you could soak it in a sterilising solution similar to that used to sterilise babies bottles – I just can’t tell you whether or not it may cause damage to the toy’s surface over time. Under no circumstance should it go in the dishwasher or be boiled – you will kill it if you do that!!

The clitoral arm is the real source of awesomeness in the Soraya. It is soft, super flexible and damn strong. Having a separate motor within the tip means that you can get some really amazingly strong vibrations and pulses directed straight to your clitoris – the all important factor those yucky old jelly-like rabbits had. As you are able to adjust the intensity of each of the vibrating, pulsating, G-Spot thumping sensations it’s a toy that should suit the buzz queens as well as those with more delicate clits. The way your hand is positioned during use you can also use your finger to push this arm harder against your clit  or pull it completely away and out of the action.

I have been finding that If I let myself squirt as soon as I feel the desire too I end up hitting an orgasmic plateau and can’t manage to cum no matter how hard I try. When I’ve used the Soraya I try to push the clitoral arm back so that it isn’t directly stimulating me whilst I still go at  my G-Spot, then as I start to feel the need to squirt I push it against me, bringing the clitoral orgasm to its peak before letting the floodgates open – so to speak. Best most intense toy induced orgasm ever!

Charging is super easy. The jack inserts into a tiny hole at the very base of the toy, the port is vacuum sealed so that no water can enter it. My Soraya has come from America so it has an American charger that just won’t fit into our Australian sockets. Thankfully all of the rechargeable sex toys I own have chargers that are compatible with our 240V supply (Most work between 110V & 240V) so no voltage converter is necessary. I only needed to buy an adapter that I can plug the two straight parallel prongs into it and then plug the adapter into our sockets that have the two diagonally aligned holes. It only cost me $12 from Dick Smith’s.

Conclusion:

I don’t like the seam between the silicone and plastic, but it really is a minor complaint. I’d also love if you could control the two motors separately, but that would mean you would need extra buttons and a more complex programming that would probably do my head in. A small part of me also wishes it came in that stunning shade of turquoise that it’s sister vibrator Isla comes in.  But no matter these small gripes after having such a truly amazing experience with the Soraya I can’t see any reason to give it less than 5 full stars and well worth its price, certainly not a purchase I’d ever regret and it’s now my number 1 toy, pushing the we vibe 2 back to #2.
