Cupid Rabbit Vibrator Review

7th May 2013 By: Violetcomment

Affordable Luxury

The Odeco Cupid is a Rabbit style vibrator designed to target both the G-Spot and the clitoris. It features Dual motors (one for each targeted pleasure point) powered by a rechargeable battery that work together to provide 7 different vibration patterns, each with 7 levels of intensity. With a silhouette so similar to my absolute favorite rabbit vibrator it was an instant sex toy crush when I first saw it at Miss X Australia.

If I had to pick one word to sum up my initial response to the Cupid it would be ‘Luxe’

lnside the box cupid vibratorIt comes packaged in a lovely, deep grey, linen textured box that is more than suitable for storage. In the picture it all looks bright orange but that’s simply the outer sleeve and the inner lining of the box. The cupid is nestled safely inside a contoured foam ‘cradle’. Also included are a black satin drawstring storage bag, a small info booklet and the charger.

The Cupid is made of silicone that feels amazing in my hands as well as during use. It is the matte, brushed finish type of silicone that the “luxury” sex toy companies like LELO & Je Joue use. The kind of silicone that doesn’t require quite as much lube as the shinier, higher friction silicone.

The well defined curve of the shaft is oddly ergonomic, it made it easy to target my G-Spot. The vibrations within the shaft are most focused on the top, the section of the toy that hits that area – Its like giving the G-Spot a good old left right jab. It has the right shape and perfect angle along with the buzz to back it up.

comparing the lelo soraya and the odeco cupidAlong the inner side of the shaft there is a pattern of four bumps that I’m sure are designed to provide extra stimulation around the opening of ones vag, but for me they just seem to irritate the area (to be fair I can’t handle too much fiddling about near my ‘entry’) however it may be very enjoyable for others. The shaft is kind of short and stout – especially when laid beside my favorite vibrator, but I’m finding that to be a good thing as this toy gives awesome G-Spot stimulation.

The clitoral arm is just about the perfect length for me – it’s around 2.25″ along the inner edge, and just a smidge over 2.5″ along the outer. Although I’m sure there are wires and such on the inside and of course there is the outer silicone layer – but for all intents and purposes the clitoral arm is detached from the main shaft of the toy allowing it to move quite freely. I have found this to be one of the keys to a successful non-bunny looking, rabbit style vibe. I don’t know about you but personally I need to have the clit stimulating arm to kind of stay in place against my clit whilst the shaft is thrusting in and out rather than getting pulled away from my clit on the outward motion. The motor is located toward the base of the arm rather than shoved right up to the tip which initially had me concerned that the vibrations wouldn’t travel well enough. These concerns turned out to be unfounded as they travel very well along the arm right through to the tip which allows the entire canoe to vibrate rather than just the pea, if you know what I’m saying.

[dcT[/dc]here are 7 different patterns of vibration that include the basic continuously on setting we are so used to, the to & fro rhythm which pulsates between the 2 motors, another focuses the attention on the outside and vice versa. Quite interestingly  this vibrator has a couple of settings  that I have not come across before in my reviewing experience  – there is a pattern that seems to change the vibrations from being generally rumbley (a normal base tone) to very faint, soft, delicate and barely there vibrations on lower levels of intensity which morph into buzzy like a bee vibrations as you ramp it up. The other unique pattern takes things the opposite direction. A much deeper, heavier, bass vibration – its got  a Drop D tuning, Grungy tone to it. As you ramp up the degree of vibration it just gets deeper and rumblier, on the highest level or so you feel this extra throbbing, pulsating vibration that is just… WOW! The motors in this vibe are quite strong whilst remaining incredibly quiet. On the highest levels it is only just discernible if you are under the bed covers and not audible through a closed door.

Using my vibrator in the showerI often hop in the shower before jumping into bed for the sole purpose of sex and have started using vibrators whilst showering pre-fuck. Strange but true. I’m not actually actively masturbating in the shower, rather I like to insert a rabbit vibe and kind of just tuck it in up there so that it stays in position. Some may have trouble believing this but maybe I have super strong pelvic floor muscles or something… Anyway I like rabbit vibes in the shower pre sex so that I’m well and truly ready for action2 .. I was using my Soraya as my shower time toy but the curve of the Cupid and the strong, G-Spot targeting vibrations make it a far better tool for the job.3 The circular shape of the handle comes in handy to hang it up between uses!

charging port and control buttonsThe navigation and controls are intuitive and ergonomic with the very popular three button interface (+) (•) (-) The (•) switches the toy on and off – simply press it for about 2 seconds and the toy will shut off – just in case you find yourself in a ‘busted!’ type situation. The (+) takes the level of intensity higher and the (-) takes you back down. To cycle through the 7 different patterns you just use that handy dandy little (•) button. As I may, or may not have mentioned the Cupid vibrator is both rechargeable and waterproof.

Just below the button interface there is a small raised target looking thing. It is here that the pin of the charger plugs in. Similar to the LELO Soraya, Swan Trumpeter and the Vanity VR5 that I have reviewed the charging pin punctures through the outer layers of silicone to be plugged in and the hole (theoretically) closes after it is unplugged so that the toy remains watertight. I have charged it 3 or 4 times now and it is still closing perfectly. It takes around 2 hours to fully charge and lasts around the same. It is easy to clean – just don’t let water near it whilst charging . You can use the included satin bag for storing it, or the box it was packaged in, just don’t store it in direct contact with other sex toys. Another important tip is to only use water based lubes with it as oil and silicone based lubes may harm the lovely finish of the silicone.

All in all it is a really good rabbit vibrator. It is far superior to many other sex toys I’ve seen being sold for well over $100 so it definitely deserves to be in  the ‘best buys’ category. With strength and variety in terms of vibration, strong quiet motors,a rechargeable battery and being waterproof to boot I think it well deserves 4.5 out of 5 stars
