About Screaming-Violet.com
This blog originally began In April 2010 as a free wordpress.com blog at http://screamingviolet.wordpress.com but within a month or two I was bitten by the blogging bug and decided to go pro with my own domain. Initially Screaming Violet was small, personal and rather smutty but now as it grows into its second year I want my blog to grow up a little and mature into something a bit more sophisticated.
Initially I never knew about sex toy reviews so when I stumbled across the concept I jumped right in without looking first. I was happy to review what ever a company was willing to send me, however my review policy has begun to change. I love so many things about sex toys and really want to share the best of the best with people who read my blog. I want to be proud to recommend a product to my readers and I want to be able to make a difference to the companies who sponsor reviews. The big companies that churn out toy after toy have the big bucks to advertise and buy links and all the rest that it takes to get to the top of google and bring more business through their doors. So I want to highlight the truly unique products out there.
So with the re-launch of Screaming-Violet.com I will be instigating some new review policies. I won’t be reviewing just any old sex toy – Their will need to be something extra special about a product to land itself a spot on these pages, toys will also have to be 100% body safe. No Phthalates, no Jelly, no smelly stinky piles of gloop. Only high quality products that are well made out of body friendly and preferably eco-friendly materials will be appearing as recommended products on this blog.
These new policies won’t only apply to the products but to the companies that sponsor the reviews as well. I have put a lot of work into building this site’s Google Page Rank, it’s Alexa Ranking and many other metrics that all go into making my out bound links desirable. My link juice is high quality, so I care about who I send it onto from here. If I’ve written to you to request a review it is because you have a product that is interesting and unique, a product that I want my name and reputation linked to. It is very likely that my readers have turned me on to your product through emails, comments and tweets on twitter, or posibly they have come to my site looking for your companies wears.
